I used a Costco code and just before the trip I checked again and added a $25.00 off code . The Costco Budget code is W852802 . It's good even if you're not a member , they never check . That was the prepaid amount which adds an additional discount . Bob

as always, I have been checking rates 3-4 times a week for months. I just scored a good deal with budget for May 4-10 (KY derby weekend). $121.45 total including taxes and fees for 6 nights. ford focus or similar. $20.24 cents a day -- I can live with that. I pick up the car on Tropicana across the street from the Orleans and return it to the airport. it makes a difference on the price, sometimes the diff is worth it, sometimes not.

this happened to me the last time I was in Vegas, just a few weeks ago. when they printed my final receipt it had the $14 fee, I had the gas receipt handy, I just wish they had asked for it beforehand. I had to go to the counter to get it adjusted. on my next visit, I will be driving more than 75 miles.

... UPDATE.... I just booked a rental with budget for 6 nights starting may 4th. ford focus or similar, $94.42 with all taxes and rip-off fees included. that is $15.73 per day, my goal is $25 per day or less. I am pleased with that one.

We just got back on Thursday and I blame Budget for what went down. We get to the rental car place and head to the Budget line. There are four people at the counter. and ten people in the line. We wait for about 15 min. when some tells us that Budget is out of cars. As a car comes back it's given to the next person up regardless of what you reserved. I always have a backup reservation this one was at Advantage for a Kia Sorento for $204. They now tell me that they don't have a Sorento but EZ the next booth over does. The EZ rep tells us he has to charge us $10 more than Advantage. OK. We check the contract and the price is only $10 more like he said. BUT! We did not read the whole contract. When we bring the car back the lot guy tells us that the rental was for three days not four days and the charge now is $304. Be sure you read the whole contract. We will next time.
