Budget Rental Cars

I have noticed a few negative reviews on Budget in Las Vegas in the past. Has anyone used them lately?
I am considering them for an upcoming trip in late January due to a good rate available with a discount code.

I use them in Las Vegas and like them just fine. Do remember to have a gasoline receipt when you return the car, they sometimes ask.

I used them in Sep & Oct with no problems. And they have the lowest rate for my Jan trip too, so I will be using them next week too.

They are fast, but one time when I brought back with a full tank of gas and a receipt, they added a 80 fuel surcharge. But on Monday removed it after I called. So watch closely when you return your car.

the last 2 times I rented from them they charged $6 more than my contract each time. The second time I found a form on budgets website for a rate guarantee if you are charged more than the contract rate. Odd that they would have a form like that unless it was a common practice. I filed the form and got a $52 refund 2 days later. I am sorry I did not file the form the first time. Serves them right for trying to rip off customers.

Wow, good tip bg. I've got them booked in a few days. Used them quite a bit last year, with
an issue now & then.........but I thought the extra chg was from booking on Southwest site &
getting RR points. Huh.........will keep my eye open for that.

I only get annoyed upon return when I always seem to get the Checkin guy whos handheld
device doesn't work.........so you have to go to the booth. I purposely LOOK for which guy
has the device in his hand, and which one doesn't. lol

On a positive note, I like seeing my Name on their monitor and going straight to the Car.
So many other places (like Payless, which I've determined is a PIA) don't do that.
Going straight to the car is a biggie for me.

Calif.Loves.Vegas - is the monitor with your name part of Fastbreak? I haven't used Budget in awhile but have a res using my RapidRez/Fastbreak account. I thought you still had to go to the Fastbreak line at the counter. Budget's website said the monitor service was not available at this location.

Yep, I'm Fastbreak. Never go to booth unless theres a prob. like your C.C. expired, etc.
Otherwise your name should be on the board, and go to that Space#, Contract is there, and leave.
