Budget Rental Cars

Possibly the worst rental car company in Vegas.

On my last rental from them I wound up with 4 cars for a one week rental. After all the aggravation they took about $20 off my bill (had to fight for that)
Just got back with absolutely no problem on Fastbreak. Name on board, car ready to go...same price as Costco contract...no add-ons at end.
Same as Capt.Bill. And when I told him upon return that I was returning early........they gave me credit.

They have to refund the money if you return it early, unless you have a weekly rental and return it on day 5 or 6
We had a positive experience with Budget. We arrived at about 11:30 pm on a Sunday and went directly to the booth as Fastbreak members to find our space number. Our name and several others didn't have space numbers listed and we were told they didn't have a full size vehicle that we reserved, but would upgrade us to a SUV or minivan. This wasn't acceptable to us for mobility reasons so we asked about a downgrade. They had a standard size (Ford Fusion) available and said we could have it with a 10% discount. We were happy with the outcome and someone who had reserved the standard size we got was probably happy with an upgrade to a SUV.
So they didn't have the car you reserved & gave you a smaller car under the guise of a 10% discount (which should have been cheaper anyway because it was a smaller car)

The discount should have been greater for not accomodating your reservation
Actually, the standard size is listed at the same rate as the full size so we were ok with it. Maybe our outlook had something to do with arriving so late. Unfortunately, Allegiant is the cheapest carrier from our city and they have changed their flight to arrive much later than it did in the past.
Just got back yesterday from a 3-day Las Vegas rental with budget. Check your receipt. My initial cost was $71 but when she handed me a receipt, she said $88! It didn't register until I was on the shuttle. When I was at the gate, I pulled out my arrival receipt and the return receipt for comparison. the final receipt had a charge called "Under 75 mi flat fee - $13.99". what the heck was that, did that mean if I drove under 75 miles, I was charged MORE. I immediately called and spoke to a very nice lady and her first question was did I fill the tank. And, yes, I had and could provide a receipt. No more questions and she had my bill in front of her and said the charge would be deleted and my bill returned to the original amount. A copy was emailed to me with the
original amount.

I have no idea what kind of charge that was, but the fact that the mistake was handled quickly and very nicely means I would definitely use Budget again. My rentals are based on price pretty much and I use all the major ones. Fortunately, I've had pretty good luck and this is the first odd thing I've had happen.

Just another way to rip off the unsuspecting. They won't get any of my business.
