Bus from Strip to Car Rental Center?

Can I get a bus from the strip (Mirage) to the car rental center? I need a car for three days in the middle of a weeks stay and have found that the car rental sites on or near the strip are 2-3 times what the car rental center offers (even with the extra taxes). Or does someone know of a better method to get there (besides taxi) or where I can get a cheaper rental on the strip or close by? Thanks.

I've done it, and it's not bad. Take the Strip and Downtown Express

Numerous companies have the shuttles to the airport (Executive, Showtime, Belltrans, etc.) which leave from right in front of Mirage. Just wait for one. It should not be more than 15 minutes for one to come along. It is about $6-7 to the airport depending on the shuttle service. From there you can get on the McCarran Car rental shuttle bus for free.

Check the weekly rate for a car and compare it to the 3 day mid week charge you are contemplating. Many times when you factor in the cab or shuttle fees along with your 3 day rental You will find that renting for a week as soon as you arrive is just as cheap. Keep checking rates right up to your arrival date they can change dramatically

Which stop is closest to the car rental center/airport? Is it the last one "south terminal" and how far of a walk is it to the car rental center or airport where I can get the shuttle to car rental center from this stop?

Your question is very confusing. Nevertheless, I think the following answers it.

The airport has a stop.

The rental car center has a few simple stops in front and is about half a mile south of the South Strip Transfer Terminal.

I agree with frankly.

After you've factored in Taxi's to/from your hotel.........(that can be 3-4 taxi rides, to/from)
if youre renting a car mid-trip, it MIGHT be (and usually is) Cheaper to rent a car for the whole week.

If you still want to rent a car mid-trip.........you can also take a taxi Directly to the Rental car facility.
I did that once. Your Taxi will take the new East 215 exit, and the Rental Car Facility has its own Exit.
Just don't miss it,or the Taxi will take you back thru the Tunnel. Like tunneling in reverse. lol
