Bus info

I have gone on line to ask for both senior bus info (RTA ) and transfer/all city access with a three day pass when coming and going to the Orleans/Gold coast to the strip.

I know there is a shuttle but I believe it doesn't start until 9-9:30 AM,  most breakasts end at 10.

Anyone have anyother places to check. I haven't received an answer from them and I can't see any senior info other than LOCAL senior van type info.

The 201 Tropicana bus route runs every 15 minutes and stops right in front of the Orleans. It runs 24 hours, though between 11 pm and 6 am, it only runs every half hour. The 202 Flamingo has a similar schedule and stops right in front of the Gold Coast.

To get from the Orleans to the Gold Coast and vice versa, the 104, Valley View/Arville runs directly between the two and runs every half hour, round the clock.

I believe you can buy day passes from RTC, and there are senior discounts available.

I will recheck I was told last year that in order to get senior prices you must have a senior Bus ID that you can only get at the RTC downtown.

I am trying to recheck for this year,

Thanks.

Thanks Kevin for the link

Reduced senior fare needs an ID from the Downtown Bus center,

I will email again or call the number to see if that can be done in one visit.

When I fly in, I grab the 109 Bus on the bottom level and ride it all the way to the downtown RTC facility, a few blocks east of the Golden Nugget. Since I got the senior card at the downtown facility, I ride all that way or back for a buck! That has to be the cheapest way to get downtown, where I always stay. It's a little slow as we work our way downtown, but I love the scenic route. Everything in LV is an adventure to look at!

Last week I purchased a three day pass in front of Harrah's with the senior discount.  The Metro worker at the stop asked to see my Medicare card.  Showed the card and she put her ticket in for a credit and cut my fee in half.

Thanks to everyone for the info  We will probably go down to MSS for breakfast and will check out the Bonneville RTC. I think it might be a short walk from the Golden Nugget.

I also see there is a trip planner on line, I'll check out before we travel to Vegas.
