Bus to Laughlin

Any recommendations on a bus or shuttle to Laughlin from downtown Vegas? Want to get there to participate in the Harrah's Race for Rewards. Would rather not take a bus that makes stops in touristy spots like the Vegas sign, Searchlight etc. but will take it if it's the only option. Is there any city bus or greyhound that goes to Laughlin? Once there, what's the best way to get to Harrah's (other than walking).
There are some options on tour buses to get there, but there are mainly all day affairs. Once you get to Laughlin there is a bus system. I don't recall the bus stops being shaded though. And the walk down to Harrahs from the main route at the top of the hill and then back up to catch the bus again can be daunting.

thanks. I guess I'll have to settle for the all-day trip. I think/hope Harrah's has a shuttle from one of the other casinos, like edgewater or something.

We were there in March---no shuttle from/to Harrah's. You can use the water taxi--$5 per admission I think; or the city bus system--which we have never used, but which does stop at the top of the hill above Harrah's; or a taxi. To shorten your walk (if you decide to walk), take the River Palms parking garage elevator to the top floor and walk off of the back of it--it takes you right to the sidewalk; when you get to Harrah's, take the yellow stairs down to the top of the parking garage there and then ride the elevator down to the casino. Reverse the process on the way back---but it still is an exercising walk!!

You can use reward credits to purchase tickets for the water taxis. I believe they still offer a discounted price to diamond and 7*. I usually take the water taxi to the Riverside and take my time walking from casino to casino along the river walk then catch the water taxi at River Palms back to Harrahs.
I forgot about the water taxi. That beats that hike up and down the hill at Harrahs.
