That's one cool new feature of the Obama Administration's new airfare pricing regulations.
From the moment you buy an airline ticket, the airline must now offer you a 24 hour grace period to cancel your trip and refund the purchase price. The only caveat, that the flight be at least a week away, seems fair.
Some airlines (Continental) have offered this voluntarily in the past, but now it's law. Good for consumers.
