Using www.taxifarefinder.com, I get $42.15. Yuck!
While you can't take a bus directly between those two points, you can take the Deuce to the south side transit center and then catch the 117 the rest of the way. That would consume about 1 1/2 hours, though.

We have never used Uber but would like opinion on $ on taking an Uber from south transit to South point. IF deuce goes via transfer to South point (1.5 hours) How early do buses run for breakfast at Southpoint?
How far is the walk to get a senior pass from Deuce bus stop to Bonneville transit center?
It's about 5 miles, a straight shot south down LV Blvd from the south transit center to South Point. The 117 runs that route starting at 4:30 in the morning and at that time of day, will leave every 30-35 minutes.
The Deuce angles off of LV Blvd to go down Casino Center to the Bonneville transit center (as in, it doesn't go on LV Blvd for that stretch). So you can buy your senior pass and walk 50 feet and board the Deuce. The Deuce will run every 15 minutes that time of day.
Uber is not cheap. It doesn't make much sense to pay for that when there's excellent bus service that will take you exactly where you need to go.
Be sure to ask for a transfer when you board the Deuce.

The RTC LV Bus website encourages people to use Google Maps for bus routing/planning info. It has the most up to date info on schedules and routes. Just use "Directions" and then click the little Bus icon on the top left list of methods (walking, driving, bus, etc), and it will give you details including the scheduled times for your trip. You can even enter your future date/time to see the bus stop times of the stops for your trip. It looks like one of the transfer points is at the Rental Car center.
