Cab from downtown to Orleans

Would anyone happen to know an approximate cost for a cab ride between these two locations? Or a less expensive alternate mode of transport? Thanks.

It's 8.1 miles from the Four Queens to The Orleans using the freeways to Tropicana. At current rates with no waiting and before tip, that's $25.16 via taxi.

A viable, $2 per person option would be to take the Westcliff Airport Express to the Tropicana, then cross the street and catch a 201 west to The Orleans. It'd take nearly an hour.
