Does anyone know if you can rent a car at the Orleans. I'm thinking that I don't need one for my whole trip but may want one for a couple of days and I am staying at the Orleans in Feb.
I don't recall ever seeing a car rental desk at the Orleans, but I'm sure you'd be able to find one somewhere on Tropicana very close to the Orleans. (I have rented from the Enterprise on Flamingo within walking distance of the Gold Coast - and Enterprise would also come and pick you up at the Orleans).
There is a Budget right across the street on Tropicana but it mostly carries moving trucks. We rented in advance there once and they did not have a car on site. Made us catch a taxi downtown (said that's the only place we could pick it up). Once dt manager was very nice and told us not to fall for that again and if we show up or stop by and want a car at the Tropicana location to make them go get us a car as the main yard to store the rentals was just down the street. So long story--if you decide to run across the street--make sure they get you a car.
