Car Rental Facility Shuttles............Service bad lately........

Thought I'd ask Others opinions, and who might we complain to?

I've had 4 trips in the past 2 months, so that 8 rides on the Rental car shuttle buses.

Issues with the Shuttle buses are seriously making me consider either:
A. Not getting a rental car
B. Getting a car from the Hotel and Not at the Facility

Over the past few months, it appears to me that Less buses are running at ALL hours of the day/night.
They are holding buses to FILL to max. Which can keep you sitting on the bus quite awhile to fill.
And then you are packed like sardines with mass quantities of luggage to load & Unload.
Sometimes you may actually have to WAIT for a bus to even arrive!

This is just the tip of my issues with the Rental car shuttles..........

Has anyone else noticed a large downgrade in service lately?

My last trip was just over two months ago from the main terminal and I had no issues, same great service I'm used to.

I used the shuttle 4x in the past 6 months. No issues at all. I almost always arrive and leave between 10:00am and 2:00pm which is a busy time of day. Perhaps shuttle service differs on more 'off peak' times?

This last trip they were running slow with long lines and not many busses...both ways! I was tempted to get a cab to take me over there, but I was too lazy. But rental cars are the only way to go for us.

No issues at Christmas and New Year - service was great. Possible explanation - It could be more a matter of the timing than a lapse in service. If you arrive at a time of peak arrivals of flights, there will be a lot more people than usual looking to get to the rental facility

Seems like I'm coming & going at the same times as CaptainBill.

I've used the shuttle monthly for years.
Its just been the past couple months, that service changed, and buses decreased in frequency.

They used to load some people, and then hit the road.
The current Waiting to load I've experienced, can get long. One time was 15 mins.
People were looking at their watches.........seemed like the bus driver was in a conversation
with another employee, and didn't care that his bus was overflowing & nobody to stop people
from entering the FULL bus.

I would love to see the MANY/ frequent buses of times past.
Looks like some of you haven't experienced the downturn yet?

This downgrade in service might have something to do with the opening of Terminal 3. One group of buses service Terminal 1 and another group Terminal 3. Not sure if they've added buses or just split the buses between the two routes. Terminal 2 has shut down but there was so little service there that I don't think effected the shuttle service much.

I boarded from terminal 3 and waited maybe 5 mins. The only negative was that it only boards from the far end of the terminal so it could mean a lengthy walk for some.

My timing must be similar to Capt and CLV. This past October I waited longer for a bus from the airport to car rental, than in my previous 3 trips combined. At least 20 mins on the curb before I could get on a bus. 7 p.m. on a Weds night!

The return from Car rental was fine but that first wait was a record breaker.

Thank goodness that I'm a Dollar express member. I was in my car and out of the garage in a quicker time than the wait for the bus!
