Car rental Rates

I need to move 15 guys to and Vegas/Laughlin October 18-21.  More vehicles to come as flight info is clarified, but I rented a Kia minivan for $218 including taxes via Costco.

Did you check with  --  liligo.com/car-rental las vegas airport  -- You might get a better deal.

I've used Costco for years all over the country and it's always been the cheapest for me (I check all over as well as Costco).  A nice perk is that an additional driver is free.  Some states require a spouse to be added for free but I'm not married so when traveling with someone it's nice to have that.  It's also nice that the price you see is all in.  Not a teaser price (like hotels) where you have to click through to get the actual total.  And you can easily cancel/rebook if the price goes down.  Rental car prices are definitely up all over the past 5 years though.  I like renting a car in Vegas. I don't stay on the strip anymore and like to go all over the place.  I'm not a big drinker so driving isn't a problem.  I've also used Vegas as a starting/ending point for trips.  Fly in, spend a nice in Vegas, drive somewhere (Utah has 5 national parks, all great, have also driven to Mammoth Lakes and AZ), drive back, another night in Vegas, fly home.

The rental car cost has dropped in half since I booked last month.  I always use Costco, they are the cheapest for me, the price you  see is the all-in price.  Always easy with Costco, just cancel and rebook.  And new booking shows up in the Budget app immediately.  You have to cancel first because you can't  have 2 reservations for the same time period.  I'm always a little nervous that I'll cancel and then the new lower rate will be gone before I can rebook.  I do 2 screens, one with the current reservation and one with the new one ready to go.  Click cancel, go to other screen, click book.  Only about 5 second gap

For all the reasons you say.Costco my favorite car rental.I just hate to see a good deal advertised from other companies. Then at checkout a bunch of fees are added.Costco you get what you see final.

One more thing with Costco. Check rates close to departure date. They usually go down.

As Vegas Vic says if you have existing reservation you can cancel and rebooked up to 24 hour before departure.

And if you change your mind and don't want a car rental after all you can cancel at Costco any time before the reservation.  You don't pay in advance and you aren't obligated.

Wow, great tip!  I've never used Costco for car rentals, but I needed to add a day for my upcoming trip and made it through Costco.  The price was over $100 cheaper with the extra day included versus my original reservation and also that much cheaper than directly through Budget's website.

Thanks!

Make sure you're in the Budget Fastbreak club (free) and add it to your reservation.  Then when you get to the rental building you can go right to the garage and skip the line (if there is one).  Even if there is no line go straight to the cars/
