We left our Garmin GPS in our rental car on Aug. 1. We didn't realize it until we were on our way home on the plane.
Our rental was with Dollar. My husband had a terrible time calling them to see if they had it. He left several messages with them before he finally got someone to talk to. They connected him to lost & found, and of course, it was an answering machine. He started getting really stressed after calling there several times, and the messages got pretty stern. They finally called back. When he spoke to someone there, they had found the GPS and told him they would ship it. I was surprised that they didn't verify our address and did not tell him how it would be shipped and they didn't ask for CC info as well. He said the lady was talking fast, and didn't explain things well. We waited over a week, and he started calling again. He left messages several times again. They finally returned the call a couple days ago. They told him we were supposed to call a packaging place to set up for them to go to Dollar to pick it up and ship it. They gave him the # to call and they told him it would be $20 for them to pick it up. They took CC info.
We finally got a call a few hours ago from the shipping Co. and they gave me a tracking # for UPS, and it would be $53.07 to ship it. Hopefully, it will arrive within about 4 business days according to them.
Have any of you done this, and if you did, how did it go?
