Directions to Trop

Driving from South Point to the Trop - what's the best way to access their parking garage (hoping they have one!)?

fredo
Two options...

Silverado Ranch west to I-15 N. Exit Trop east and the entrace to parking is on Trop right past L.V. Blvd.

Another alternative is to drive straight north on L.V. Blvd. and then make a right on Trop and once again the entrance is on Trop.

There is a lot of construction on I-15 in the vicinity of I-215 and Russell Road exits. I've been using L.V. Blvd. more and more if my destination is primarily south or east of the Strip.

They do have a parking garage and while it's on L.V. Blvd., you can't access it from there...you have to go to Trop. Another "trick" if you're taking L.V. Blvd. instead of the 15 is to turn right on Reno which is the light before Trop and enter the garage from the back side. This is likely easier if you're coming from that way but Trop entrance is your best bet if you took I-15.

Thanks Dan - most likely I'll take your tip and stay on LVB. Going to take advantage of the $200 rebate offer!

Slight change to the Trop rebate offer.....

Originally it was 1/2 on the same day as the loss and the other 1/2 on your account on the 3rd of the following month. I went back on Thursday night to retrive my second 1/2 but it wasn't on my account. Went to the players club and they advised that they changed the rebate so that the second 1/2 loss was on your account 30 days after the actual loss date. Not a problem for those who will be back anytime in the next 13 months as it stays on your account for a year following the one month anniversay of the actual loss. Obviously, they're counting on people either not being back or forgetting after an extended period of time.

Not an issue for me....it's already on my calendar to get there on 6/25 but just thought I'd make you aware.

Thanks Dan - I suppose that will put the kibosh on those folks who had a stay that spanned the end of the month over to the 3rd of the next month. No probs for me as I won't be returning until Nov.
Incidentally, I missed the Trop lot entrance entirely while driving down Reno as I was expecting to see a garage, not an open parking lot. I eventually found it and the lot sure isn't marked very well; it's as if they spent all the money on the hotel proper and the new beach club and the parking is an afterthought. I was fortunate to find a spot under a shady tree; no doubt if they ever build a garage that tree is a goner.
I played the QQ in the high limit room. My $200 went faster than Jimmy Smits' last tv series. All Quick, no Quads. The kiosk worked fine to refund me the $100, which I played thru on a 7/5 bp - I walked away with $50. Not bad for a chance to hit big. Hopefully my $100 in Nov will be more fruitful.

Maybe I'm having a senior moment, lol, but I could have sworn Trop has a garage. Last year my daughter and her family were in town, and we took the kids to see the Titanic exhibit, which was then at the Trop. I believe my son-in-law parked in a garage that was located on the Strip side, south of the Tropicana intersection (we entered from the Strip). After going to the exhibit, we left the car there, walked across the street, and took the tram from Excalibur to Mandalay Bay to see the Shark Reef.

Am I imagining this garage? Or is it gone?
Sorry, I should have mentioned that it wasn't signed very well. I only found it through a friend I was following as we were going to the comedy club there one night. Now that I know where it is, it's not a problem but it's not "obvious" by any means.

I don't know if you realized it but you can actually snake through that lot and get into the garage. From memory, you head towards the building and there's even a doorway into the hotel called doorway 5 or something similar. Anyway, you make a left there and it'll put you on the first floor of the garage.

Barb and I had almost the perfect storm. She won $350 or so and I lost the $200 but got $80 or so back on my first $100 rebate and it's on my calendar to go back in early July to get the other $100.

Better luck on your second hundred!

So I'm NOT hallucinating? We did enter the Trop garage from LV Blvd?
