Does Alamo require COSTCO coupons?

Found coupon codes on the COSTCO site for an Alamo rental car in Vegas, but they would not let me rent the car through them as I am not a member. Wrote down the codes and went directly to Alamo site. Alamo let me use the codes (ID - 7014627 & Coupon Code- AD8Z59SDZ) and got a compact for $33 for three days or $59 for four days. Absolutely great compared to anything else I could find. But the Alamo site warns that I may have to show the coupon upon rental. Will I have to? I am an Alamo Insider member, so can I skip the counter altogether and get the car without seeing anyone? Thanks.
Alamo Insiders can use the Kiosk (two or three machines in front of Alamo's counter area), I have never been asked for ANY coupon when using the Kiosk.
Try coupon code AD2359FDF and see if it works for your needs. It's $35 off.

Good luck!
Thanks for the tips. That code didn't work any better, so I'm just going to stick with the codes that I have and assume they will not ask for the coupon. Thanks again for the help.

As SADLASS said, join the free INSIDER's Club...put your Insider's number in the box when doing the reservation. Then, when you get to the rental facility, don't go to the counter. Use the kiosk right in front of the counter. Never a need for an actual coupon this way. I've done it over 10 times this way. Others on this board have done it countless times also.

Just a note: All the COSTCO coupons I've ever used gave you a free second driver. You can even add the second driver at the kiosk, but you might have to go to the counter to show the second driver's ID.

Hope this helps.

If you use the "Save Time" option online a day or two before your trip, you can enter your drivers license information and that of your additional driver. Use the kiosk to check in and verify all the information you entered online. You do not have to visit the counter. Proceed to the garage, pick out your car, exit the garage, there you will "check out" and they will verify both drivers' licenses there. Easy peasy, no worries. We have done this close to a dozen times with no counter visit.

As always, keep checking your rental dates and codes - often the price will drop closer to your trip.

Good Luck and Happy Motoring!
Thanks again for the info - this site is great for getting the best information. I plan on using the kiosk.
The last time I was in LV i also used the Save time option. Then used the Kiosk. The boothling told me If I had a copy of my paper work I didn't even need to use the Kiosk.

Oh, this is awesome news, I'm going to try this on our next trip.

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

PS, check your upcoming rentals, ours dropped a bit today for our upcoming trip - still higher than a ressie I made a few weeks ago, but at least it's starting to drift back down again!
I've always found the car rental discounts available to me to be sufficient, that being dishonest with the people I enter into a contract with is not worth a few bucks of savings

Plus, if they find out I misrepresented myself, that would void the contract as well as any insurance protections they sold me.

Seems like a really foolish plan, one that could cost me a lot of money and needless anxiety.
