Dollar ...still the best (IMHO)!!!!

Leaving for Vegas in 3 days (10/7-14). Booked a mid-size 3 months ago for $154 plus taxes/fees. About 2 weeks ago it went down to $142 plus taxes/ fees. Then last week, Monday, down to $130 plus taxes/fees. 2 days ago I discovered that mid size went down to $117.60 ($193. 37 including taxes and fees). 7 days for $193.37 ($28.00 a day for a rental). Advantage Car rental is at least $100.00 more for the same size vehicle. 3rd time this year I've gone with Dollar. No regrets plus as an Dollar Express member I go straight to the car from the shuttle!

T- 2 days...20 hrs ... 36 minutes till........ (need you ask!)

Ditto for us - our Vegas trip is the last week of October. Dollar is definitely the best option so far at about $180 total price. Have a great trip, champ!

Yes, must be an express member, that line can get bad.

Budget has been top for me this year...4 out of 5 trips. Just got back from a week and I had a Cad for $160.00, well under any other price I could find for the 2 months leading up to the trip. Dollar was the other trip for Feb or Mar trip.

I agree with you Champster. Dollar is great giving you the ability to book, re-book, re-book and re-book. I agree being a Express members is a great benefit plus there is nobody trying to shove the insurance down your throat when you pick up your car.

Another vote for Dollar - our Friday night flight home got canceled (control tower flooded in Austin,) couldn't find another decent flight until Sunday. Quick call to Dollar and they extended our car rental for two days for only $40 total. Found a great deal with them for our December trip also....

thrifty normally has the best deals for me. however, on both of my vegas visits this year, budget won out. it certainly pays to shop around and re-book several times if need be.
