Don't Be That Guy

The guy who:

* buys a crazy-cheap roundtrip ticket on Spirit;
* plans on stowing a carry-on bag in an overhead bin;
* can't be bothered to pay $35 in online-checkin for the bag; and
* can't be bothered to pay $50 at the ticket counter for the bag.

Because that guy will get to pay Spirit $100 at the gate. Each way.

Don't be that guy.
Nospirit airlines continues to set new lows in customer service
After swearing never again I broke down and booked with them on a return from LV. They have changed my time from a nice 9:30 to a horrible 8:15 this is why I swore never to do it again LOL> My fault. Man that is a killer fee 200 and for sure they will get folks. My friend and I traveled when they first started that carry on charge . She paid and I didn't. . They never even asked about mine . She was so upset but mine would fold down if I removed the food , coat etc. which they don't charge for. So I am sure they will nail some folks if they want to.

It sounds like the ultimate idiot tax.

Here is what their CEO thinks of customers:

In the FoxNews.com interview, Baldanza also downplayed the airline's industry-leading rate of customer complaints in January.

“That’s an irrelevant statistic,” Baldanza said when told his airline generates gripes at two-and-a-half times the rate of the next most complained about carrier.

Spirit racked up 8.27 complaints per 100,000 passengers in January, while United finished a distant second-worst, registering 3.5 complaints per 100,000 fliers, according to U.S. Department of Transportation statistics. By comparison, Southwest notched just 0.2 complaints per 100,000 fliers.
Baldanza and his overpriced airline are irrelevant to me. Let's see how arrogant he remains when customers quit flying on his airline.
This idea may help. My husband and I were booking separate tickets out of Denver. He had a work conference and had to fly out later than me. I booked with Frontier and was going to book him on Spirit that way I could take our bags on my flight. He was just going to walk up (practically bare neked) and just board his spirit flight. In the end, we switched our days and both went with Frontier. I've read the Spirit horror stories on yelp. If you can avoid this airline-do it.
