When I looked for a R/T flight from Philly in April it was $420, & when I booked about 2 weeks ago the price had dropped to $280 + taxes on US Airways.
Sometimes US Airways has better prices than SW. We booked rt Phoenix to Philadelphia today for $280 pp inclusive. When I checked SW yesterday using their special FB fare, it was $330 pp roundtrip.
Well, I'm 3 weeks out from my trip and Sun Country just lowered their fares. My Sept. Vegas flights can be had for $262 RT. I booked my flight for $279 months ago(see previous post). They have been posting the fares at $339 for the last couple of months. Price of oil goes up and they lower their fares...go figure.
I was looking to reschedule my trip that I had to cancel in July for this September. When I went to check the prices for Delta Flights out of my local airport, I was amazed to see that I could get a RT flight for $271.00. This was only a 3 week window, so I will remember to book trips only 3 weeks in advance if I can get the time off from work.
