Don't rebook your Vegas flight just yet

Here in West Texas, it's hard to get a PCP, you're lucky if you get a Nurse Practitioner, which is good because they are usually better... :)

You live in West Texas? You poor, poor bastard. The ugliest, most forlorn place in the US, with the worst weather, to boot. No one there but crazy cow people roaming around, bug-eyed, hoping to shoot a Mexican.

If you want more than a Band-Aid, you have to haul ass to El Intercepted Paso, Fort Stockton (ecch), or maybe Midland/Odessa. Then the services you receive might be inadequate, because Republicans don't believe in health care. I don't remember where exactly, but two rural-ish West Texas hospitals are closing because of Medicare/Medicaid cuts. There are now locations in West Texas that are three hours away from a hospital.

I do hope that the MAGA goobers who die in an ambulance on the way to the hospital think to themselves, "Well shucky darn, this is what I voted for."

I live in MN in a small (20-25K) town surrounded by farms etc. Despite that my employer is large and well respected, it's pretty tough to keep a doctor. Many more PA's and NP's in our clinics. It's a shame. We need both.

Disgusting, unhelpful thread.

Forgive me for pointing out the damage that's been done. Blame it on whomever your ideology compels you to.
