E-Z Car Rental

Very impressed, fast check out, good rates, nice low mileage car, quick return, but NO SMOKING or you have to take out a loan with them.

I appreciate the info JM. I have been looking at my fav...Dollar Car, for a week in August and can't get below 297.00. Tried Ez and Im down to $201.00

Please follow up with a report if you take them. Also, they have several discounts to reduce the quoted rate, over 50 for instance. It's are only 3% but nearly anyone should qualify, Plus facebook friend gets an additional discount. Part of their scare spiel actually had me worried-they will not deal with 3rd party insurance. Not sure what that means. Got a real nice, clean, low mileage car from them and avoided the PAYLESS wait I've gotten so sick of. Also, they said if I spotted any damage soon after rental that was not noticed in the garage darkness they would come out to where I was and acknowledge it.

Did you find out what was meant by "Thrid party insurance"? Im covered by State Farm so I have always declined any insurance from Dollar (and soon e z car). Is that a problem?

Do they insist that you buy insurance from them??

Am I back to Dollar ( who's insurance policy is crystal clear to me)????

I'm an insurance agent and didn't choose to worry about it. Figured-hoped-it was bs. Guess that can be dangerous. I know they exagerate your liabliity in many ways. Maybe need to check their website next time and read their policies.

Have you actually rented a car, and returned it to them yet?

Yes, just did so. I was staying at Red Rock but I had arrived early for 1 night at GVR and didn't want to not have access to booze in suitcase. So, took the car back and was running short of time to get back to ap for the RR shuttle. The check in guy saw me fidgeting when I saw the cars waiting to check in and told me to "just go on." Pretty darn considerate and I made the shuttle with a few minutes to spare. Car was under 6000 miles and very clean. The cars I have been getting from Payless are 35000. Look at their list of cars and the categories and you will be impressed. An Economy, for instance, is not a moped.

Decided to TRY EZ, after having Long waits at Payless counter.
EZ had a short line, so decided to try them out.

Couple things I Didn't like about E Z.

Heavy pressure at the Front desk to sign up for their Insurance and LOSS OF USE NEV LAW.

I told boothling..........twice............I rent all the time & already know this.

He continued to talk to me like I was a First grader, and I told him........."well, so far EZ is NOT so easy."

Upon return of car..........there was NO ONE to check me in. Had to go to their booth, and stand
behind 2 other people attempting to do the same thing.
And then she couldn't give me a receipt. Said she would have to "email" it to me.

THIS Trip..........I booked ADVANTAGE. Same short line as EZ, but I Didn't get Lectured to,
and there was No line upon Return. (Advantages Return is SAME Lanes as EZ & Payless)
Return guy was there to Greet me, and Give me a Receipt, and I was on my way.

Of the 3 I mentioned...........so far Advantage is best of 'em, Especially if they have the Best Price.

I don't care for the cars (CHEVS) they offer, but none of rental companies is perfect. You can get the hard sell from any of them or a wait on return, at least the ones with cheap rates. I'll still use any of the 3 if the rates are favorable. But Advantage will be at the bottom because I once had a Cobalt that was a pos. I'll try to avoid Payless during busy hours, but my last rental was at 11:00 pm and about a 35 minute wait so so much for planning. My cleanest and only low mileage vehicle came from E-Z.
