I used EZ last week and long story short I will go back to Alamo for my October trip. I have always used Alamo and shouldn't have strayed. Changing to EZ wasn't worth saving $100 for a one week rental. I waited in line 15 minutes and there was only one person in front of me (no kiosk). They pushed me for the insurance asking if I wanted to upgrade or "just wanted basic". The agent looked at me like I had an arm growing out of my head when I said I didn't need any, my auto insurance and Visa protect me. She copped an attitude immediately and recited a canned answer about how Nevada is an at fault state and I would be responsible for EVERY DAY that the car was out of service, blah blah blah. She then proceeded to tell me to have a seat in the waiting area as no cars were available immediately and they would call me on my cell phone in 15-20 minutes when the car was ready. Prior to this, I had never spent more than 5 minutes in the rental car facility. When they finally called me, 25 minutes later, I went out to the car and had to make a note of all the "dents and dings" so they wouldn't charge me when I returned it. The inside had stains all over the seats and a broken air vent (which I didn't notice until later). I was just happy it didn't smell of cigarette smoke and made a mental note not to use this company again. There were 18,000 miles on the car which I realize isn't much but with Alamo, I don't think I've ever had a car with more than 1,000 miles on it. Nothing major but not worth the savings. To each his own. I will definitely be returning to Alamo.
