Only once, and that was some time ago. The car they gave me was, shall we say, earthy. But it ran fine. It was certainly cheaper than the other options--I had driven to Vegas on a fairly busy three day weekend when my car went kablooie.
I don't know if this is their policy these days, but they did come and fetch me at the garage.

I use Fox almost all of the time. You have to take a second shuttle (first from the airport, then one from the car rental center). It adds a little extra time to pick-up and to returning the car - but the savings is worth it to me. You get to choose your vehicle from a group - I always check the mileage of the cars in the group, last rental the car I picked had only 8000+ miles on the speedometer. I have never had a problem and will be renting with them again at the end of this month. When renting from them, choose the "city special" pricing - you will get a considerable savings over their regular pricing.
I do this ALL THE TIME and it is easy. May add just a smidge more time as their line can be long. I've never had to wait for a shuttle to their center for more than 10 minutes from normal rental car center.
I just got back and had a car for 6 days for a total of $170. Not as good as 5-6 years ago but pretty darn good considering we are in 2023 and prices sky rocketing on most items.
Tip: On shuttle if busy, sit right by the door so you are first off. You then beat most of the people to the line. I many times walk right in and wait maybe 5 minutes.
thanks for the response. We drove by the lot last month and it looked safe. The Ace lot next door looks a little questionable. We have been using advantage lately, but they close at 10.

I have rented from Ace three times and have nothing to say but good things. One thing I like is that when you pick up your car they take photos of the car which may come in handy if there are any questions about the appearance of the car when returned. Pick up and return are quick and their shuttle is also prompt. I will rent from them again.
Thanks for all the info on fox. Our expierience was pretty good. The shuttles were easy and safe. The car had quete a few miles and a few dings but ran fine and had no problems. We will concider using them again.

No problem. Yeah, their cars are nothing special but I am just looking for a working vehicle to get from casino to casino or place to place usually so I have some flexiblity.
As long as Fox doesn't charge you for those existing dings when you turn in the car, then they sound fine.
