Fox Car Rental vs. Gillespie Facility

We're going at the end of August for 9 days with my mother in law (who is only staying four). We need a full-size car for the four of us, and Fox is about $100 cheaper than anybody at the Airport. I rented from them years ago, and they seemed fine, if somewhat inconvenient coming and going. Longer stay should mitigate arrival and departure hassles. Thoughts?
to save $100 it is worth it . However it can be a hassle. The check in lines can be slow and long. They are very big on selling you extras for insurance, gps, upgrades, etc. I have used them quite a lot in the past and keep saying no more but still keep going back to save the money. Keep checking the rates for the other agencies you might see a rate drop
The last time I rented from Fox, it took an hour to get out of there, vs using a kiosk at the car rental center with Alamo and being out in under five minutes. Since it was for a 10 day rental and an $80 difference, yes it may have been worth it financially, but it was really fustrating emotionally and a wassste of my time.

On my recent reservations for November I have found that it is only $20.75 more if I rent through Budget vs Fox, so this time I will not use Fox.

Keep checking the other agencies, I use Carrentals.com as a starting point then on to individual agencies and other specials to see if they can beat the prices I've already found.
Thanks, all. Am continuing to bid on Priceline. Now I have a good idea of the trade-off.

I forgot to add to my post before that Fox is cheaper because they get to bypass the tax that is added to rentals from the car rental facility.
I kept bidding and finally got my full-size car for $16 a day, which is allegedly 48% lower than retail. Nine days = $144, plus $119.19 (!) in taxes and fees.

Thanks for all your help.

You may want to try to see what the rates are from Dollar at their Swenson location. I have done this before and I saved over $100 for the exact same car from the Swenson location. You can take a cab from the airport which will likely cost you less than $10. This is much more convenient than getting over to Fox.
An interesting suggestion, but it seems their rates are now only about $60 less for 10 days than the main Dollar location. This rental car thing is always a hassle. It's weird. You break your neck trying to save a what is often less than $50, and then bet that much on a couple hands of blackjack.
