I use them extensively, both in Las Vegas and Orange County where i live. When i need a rental car, i check daily beginning about a month in advance. Their rates are erratic, up and down and standard cars will be.less expensive than compact.cars on some days. I just returned a car in Orange County that I had for three days at a rate of less than $6/day which showed only one day on their website. I don't find them any more aggressive than any of the others. I think they started out that way but realized they simply lost customers. My worst experience with sales aggression was at a Dollar counter a.few years ago. One thing, they are slow! I watch them stare at a computer screen like they expect something to jump out. What r u looking at? All the information is right in front of you! You definitely have to allow extra time as there can be a long line at their facility when you get there. I am in Las Vegas often and don't get impatient as their rates are worth waiting a bit for. I have not had problems with their shuttles that I can recall, always have had them right there. I also practice Jean Scott's admonition to 'be nice'. One thing I have a problem with is their website is not compatible with my phone which I use mostly for reservations and is annoying so i usually use Kayak or Travelocity. The rates are always the same when I check on a desk top computer. I belong to the express clubs of all the big boy rental agencies but will still wait in line for Fox's lower rates. I don't pay attention to mileage on a car, don't care if it's 5,000 or 25,000, as long as it's clean and runs well. Never had an operation problem. In the beginning, had a few smell like cigarette smoke but that hasn't happened in a long time. I always let them know if that occurs. I once returned a car that had a tiny dent where a rock flew up and hit the fender. I remembered the sound when it happened. They told me they had to report any dents larger than a quarter, and it was just about that size. I thought, oh boy, here it comes! I never heard from them. All in all, I guess it depends on your patience quotient because it does take longer to use them. For me, that's okay.
