Fox Rental

Just rented a compact for 1/8 to 1/15/2013 from Fox. $142.52. Has anyone had any experience with Fox?

just read that they now charge 1.50 per day per person for the shuttle service to their facility

We've written about Fox a lot in this forum. Not everyone reports a bad experience, but lots do. Suggest you do a search for "Fox" and see what's been said.

$1.50 per person PER DAY? That's preposterous!

Checked the detail on my bill and it shows $10.50 for an airport transfer fee.

I can't imagine that the fee is "PER PERSON per day" as crestlan alleges. To charge a separate shuttle bus fee at all is ridiculous, since I'm sure they're already hitting us for McCarran's airport concession fee. But to do it on a per-person basis? Seems unbelievable to me.

That is what the airport transport fee amounts to. $10.50 per weekly rental and $21.00 for two week rental.

Yeah, but PER PERSON?

No, I don't think it is per person. I read it to be per rental period.

Seemed for a while they were creating a little positive buzz. But now having to pay for the right to ride a second shuttle what a load. A few weeks ago I had a decent price from Dollar for 4 days $86 including all the exorbitant fees. Not worth messing with them. And reports of late have not been good overall.

I rented from them last year terrible. Pay the extra and stick with someone else. You have to take a second shuttle from the car rental center to get to Fox. After I rented the car and FINALLY got done there I had already wasted an hour and 15 minutes. Have to allow extra time to return car too so you have anough time for the second shuttle to get to the airport.

After my trip last year, I've decided to stick with Alamo since I'm always in and out within five minutes max. Time is especially important to me since I'm usually in late after work, hungry and tired..
