frontier airlines site expansion into mid west

Anyone able to update the possibility of frontier airlines expanding their services into the mid west. I understand they are about to announce 4 new locations and they are down to 6 potential locations. Two of the possibilities are Spingfield Illinois or Mid Amercia in Belleville, Illinois, just east of ST Louis, Mo. They will be offering flights to Vegas, as well as other western locations both direct and one stop flights I believe in Denver. This information was shared recently with share holders I believe they want to get off the ground by Feb. 2011.
Has anyone received any more recent info on this. This initially may put allegiant into competitive pricing and schedules.
Frontier hasn't made any such announcements. If they do, you can find them here.
Just a side note - why is Il considered midwest since it's clearly in the eastern part of the US?

Because the U.S. expanded westward. Stuff that looks eastern now once seemed western.

Ask a Hawaiian why the epicenter of "Country and Western" music, Nashville, is less than 500 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

As an update to a few replies a friend of mine also has $20,000 in shares with frontier and it was shared with the stock holders the information I sent out in the first message. I simply was wondering if anyone else perhaps not a share holder has heard this. As a result of this recent info I was planning to invest more money into the stock as an aggressive part of the deferred compt program offered to Illinois state government employees. Again I was trying to see if anyone else had heard about the recent proposed expansion. Playing the market is like going to vegas sometimes you loose and sometimes you win. Oh yes Belleville Illinois is east of St Louis, Mo. to us cornhuskers or fly overs who live in the mid west.
I have wondered about "midwest" my whole life. As an Indiana native it sure does not make sense. My only guess is that the term started before the whole US had been populated.
