I've been checking Costco daily for March trip and they have been in the $400 range. Finally found one via Caesers site for $150 for a compact with Alamo. Will keep checking to see if I can get back to and intermediate or full size. My Feb trip is with Budget at $145 for an interm that I got off Costco 2 weeks ago.
I'm going from 2/20-2/24 and I got a price equal to captain bill's at $145 at Alamo through SWA but I have also have a reservation with Fox for $89. Still debating which to use, but will probably use the Alamo one. I've been constantly re-checking rates and have only see increases lately.
Go to Total Rewards, click on earn and redeem, then click TR Alliances, scroll down to TR Getaways, then click 'Learn more', click 'Enter TR Getaways'. Sign in, click the car rental section. Put in your info. Sounds confusing but hope it helps. Barb
OK. I go it. The price is really good BUT it says the price includes taxes and fees yet it shows a zero for taxes and fees. Also It looks like you must pay at time of booking. I don't like to do that. I prefer to stay flexible. Thanks for the info on how to get to that page on Total Rewards.
I, used them once in the spring of 2014, the price they give you does include the tax. I spoke to a sales person yesterday, she said you can cancel a car rental and they will refund your credit card in 3 to 5 days. I have never done that but that is what I was told. Good luck with your rental.
I cancelled one with them last year and the refund was on the account the next day. The Feb trip I mentioned thru Costco is now rebooked thru them at $92. The price for the March trip is still the best I've found...by at least a $100.
