HUGE Dollar price drop

I got an email today that Dollar had a price drop. Checked for my 10 days in June..price had dropped more than $300! (It had been running $644 & up, now down to $325 for a mid-size.)

wow--that is a huge drop. I hope you rebooked.

I just emailed dollar cuz the Jamaican? Express boothling who didn't seem to understand
us very well, appears she didn't use our Res# and made a NEW one, AT the booth,
at a price $50 Higher!

Didn't see the issue til we got home & compared prices. Realized it was a totally different Res#.

Hopefully Dollar corrects this problem asap. So watch out. This is the First time I've had this happen.

Thanks for the tip, CLV. I always assume that the contract waiting in the car is mine - I give it a quick look to identify my name but in the future I'll spend a bit more time going over the details.

It's not obvious to me why you find it necessary to speculate on the Dollar employee's national origin. It's not relevant to the story.

If you had trouble communicating with her, just say that, that's meaningful and relevant and advances the story. Besides, excellent communicators come from everywhere, including Jamaica.

Lt. ax49...I play the game and rebook every time it drops. I just cancelled 5 reservations I had made.

I always check receipts & prices before I leave anywhere...but thanks for the heads-up. And I always take my confirmation email w/pricing info. I'm not afraid to ask for a manager anymore, either, to get things straightened out.

Price dropped another $60 today...down to $263. Hope it keeps going!

Dollar dropped another $40 today, now down to $226 for 10 days in June. Alamo also dropped yesterday down to $3 less than my previous Dollar rate (Alamo was $258, Dollar was $261)
