I have hopes that the Uber auto ride service becomes a smashing success in Las Vegas. They have already been put on hold by a judge with in a day of starting their service. I have been a long time resident of Las Vegas and while I enjoy living here I have never been any where and seen power controlled the way it is in this gaming town. I have seen progressive medical clinics closed by mediocre Doctors that want to maintain the status quo and protect their jobs as well as many other big bullies control the pie. This extends to booking entertainment , fees to operate a limousine, performing marriage services and unions bullying businesses etc, etc.. The taxi service in this town is nothing to brag about and has a reputation for long hauling innocent riders among other valid gripes . They are now up in arms over Uber. I am interested to see how this scenario will play out.
Should this situation become ugly I pray for the safety and well being of all involved.
