A second guy comes over and claims "it's a mandatory" fee and can't be removed. So he gives me the contract to sign and I write UNDER PROTEST and draw an arrow to the fee for the roadside assistance. They guy gets pissed and wants to know why I messed up the contract. I tell him that I want both his company and MY lawyer to know that I protested the fee that he said was mandatory. He took the contract and put it in his shredder, printed out another one WITHOUT THE ROADSIDE charge on it and viola. As I walked away, I told him to have a wonderful evening because I sure was

Bullshit like this is what would keep me from renting from them. I don't care if it's cheaper, if I've got to start my vacation fighting about illegal add ons and lying managers I'll just spend the extra $20-$30 and rent from one of the bigger companies.

Will not use payless again. Woody
