Last minute airfare from Spirit Airlines...

I am fully aware that Spirit Airlines has a less than stellar record for customer service, but I just booked a RT fare from Minneapolis to Las Vegas for $59.80. That is a non-stop flight and includes all taxes and fees. I'm flying out late (10PM) on Monday April 22 and returning on the red-eye flight (12:15 AM) on Friday April 26th. Hell, I can't drive to Milwaukee and back for that price. I plan on just taking a few clothes and essentials in my backpack for the trip, so I won't have to pay for any baggage fees. Sure, the seats are uncomfortable; but for 60 bucks, I can put up with it. I have flown Spirit a couple of times out of MSP, and it has not been so bad...check in has been without incident, flights were on time; seats were less than comfortable, but I survived. Add on my 3 comped nights..this is going to be a cheap Vegas trip.

I may be wrong on this. I believe anything you take on plane for Spirit, if it dosen't fit under seat in front of you, you have to pay a fee. Except for jacket or coat to put above, maybe.
My backpack will fit under the seat, no problem....short trip & I travel light
You're correct. Baggage under the seat is free. Carry on that requires the overhead bin requires a fee. Snacks and sodas also require a fee. Choosing your seat requires a fee. I do not yet know, but I suspect should an emergency arise, the oxygen mask will be dispensed to anyone who pays a small fee, but they don't accept cash.
