Lower rental car rates through Entertainment

I am a member of Enertainment.com and just got an e-mail for a discount on car rentals. Entertainment.com membership costs $25 a year and includes discounts for restaurants, hotel chains, plus a lot of other services and products

With the discount code that was in the e-mail I found a mid-size car through Budget for $320 for 5 days in  December.  This surprised me because I usually find the best rates though Costco, and Costco's best rate through Budget was $420, $100 MORE. Rates are still crazy high and much higher than I will pay, but maybe this signals a change for the better in rental car prices in the future.

My "car rental tipping point" for 5 days is about $220.  I figure the airport shuttle to downtown hotel and return is $30 round trip plus a $10 tip (round trip) per person X 2 people = $80 - leaving me with a remaining cost of $140 for the convenience of having a car to hit other outlying casinos and restaurants for 5 days.  This $140 is much less than i would have to pay Lyft to take us to Ellis Island, Southpoint, Rampart and some "locals" restaurants during my stay.

If I see any more car rental "deals" in the future, I'll update this.

That's "entertainment.com", I spelled it incorrectly.  Also I just noticed that on the header of this page LVA has a link to Budget that also has the same deal.  If you are going to Las Vegas and thinking about renting a car, you can also click on the link above.  Funny, but I never noticed the banner at the top of this page...maybe they should have the copy in red...

Try autoslash.com  - I use them seemingly all the time. Just keep checking daily for the rates change throughout the day.

what BCD/Coupon codes did you use?

Sorry to take so long to get back to you.  I made a mistake on the Entertainment costs.

I always rent through Costco, who includes ALL taxes and fees on the first page of their quote.  When I got into the Entertainment "deal" further, I found that all the taxes and fees were NOT included.  The $320 suddenly mushroomed to over $520!

Just went to Costco now and the TOTAL cost for a compact car in December is $445.   Costco is the best "deal", but still not worth it to me.

Got a map of the LV "Deuce" bus route and my trusty I-Pad for Lyft / U.   I can get a LOT of rides from Downtown for $445, especially considering that the airport shuttle is now back up and running.

I apolgize for the error, next time, I will read the "fine print".

What's up with that Makes me crazy I usually go with Costco You get what you see- This past few years crazy during pandemic I thought this year would come down in price NO

Luckily I come to Vegas with my adult son He was able to get

car deep discount from employer $250 out the door

Using American Airlines for my rental vehicle, was the cheapest way to go. Costco with my 2%, still was $20 higher.  I've been using the airline package for 15 years. Must airlines have a car rental on their site, I would check them out first.

I had booked a trip to Vegas that was to start today, the 12th, and end the 23rd of this month. My last trip was for the same number of days and my car rental then was $376.00, all in, which was much higher than I was used to being charged. For this trip the best price I could get, after checking everyday for over a month, was $ 820.00. Needless to say, I cancelled my trip. Apparently all of the Vegas car rental agencies have jumped onto the Vegas gouge bandwagon.
