Maybe a little drop in car rental rates

  I have a trip to Vegas scheduled for 8 Nov. thru 19 Nov. I reserved a car weeks ago and the best price I found was $422. for the least expensive vehicle on AutoSlash for this time period. I have checked daily, not finding a better price, not only on AutoSlash but on all of the other sites and auto rental companies. Today the price for the same rental period is now $686. for the least expensive vehicle for the same time period on Auto Slash, with every other car rental site/agency showing a higher price. A word to the wise, if you are looking to rent a car while in Vegas, check early and often, starting well in advance in order to get the best price. 

I've never used autoslash but I just booked a rental car through Hotwire for 4 days for next weekend Feb 25-28 in Vegas for $172.62 including taxes!  Hotwire is awesome. 

Did you check with Autoslash? You might be surprised.

I did just out of curiosity and there wasn't anything cheaper but there was a $173 rate for a company I've never heard of, Ace rental.   It was only listed as 2.5 stars so not sure I would want to go with that.  The next closest thing was Enterprise at $240.  I got National for $172

    swanssy -  I have used Ace twice and I like them a lot. Quick check in and check out.I was hesitant for 2 years but tried them and really liked the cars and service. I used to use Fox but it took forever to get checked in and I got tired of having to wait 25-30 minutes in line, plus Ace seemed to beat Fox's prices. I suggest you keep checking back with Autoslash - every 6 hours you can get updated pricing and it seems that 2-3 days out from your scheduled pick up time the rates drop. I have a trip set for 22 Feb thru 5 March @ $376, all in for 12 days rental. I will still keep checking back with Autoslash and hope my rate goes down, which has happened in the past.
