thegreek- I have been reading your post here and do agree with you about the all knowing Chilcoot. I don't believe she is happy unless she is berating someone, whether it be for spelling, syntax, verbiage, punctuation, content, or ,heaven forbid, you should disagree with anything she says. It is probably a good thing you don't live near her for she would hit you with her purse or sic her man on you. When she gets really crazy it is just an indication that it is time for another estrogen shot. So try and forgive her, for she sometimes does not know what she is doing.

I feel about 90% confident about this deal. I've been following the thread on Vegasmessageboard, and there have been successful bookings from this deal, and with a zero balance due, after the pre-pay . I may make a back-up rental somewhere just in case, and then cancel it when I get there, because there can always be a glitch, with this, or with any booking. Or I may just leave it alone and worry about it when I get there. My booking is through Dollar, and I made sure I am an express member, because from what I've read, even though this is through a third party, express members should be able to use the kiosk and potentially avoid alot of BS.

jokermqb--I'm just super glad you put members on to the deal.......as I said I was checking daily for March trip and the cheapest for a full-size for a week was $339.00. The price has dropped a little now but still higher than what we are use to paying....the is the main objective to the entire board are things like rental car deals, floating coupons out there, casino promotions, and the latest updates on what going on with other members.....yes I was involved in a few disagreements and maybe over stepped my bounds on occasion but in the end it was no harm no foul deal....yes I will keep checking any book a back-up plan as well.....the Vegasmessageboard is another good source of information as well...we visit Las Vegas 6 times a year since around 1997 and have enjoyed ourselves every time.....I belong to all rental car clubs and even Hertz #1 gold...use to really like Alamo but they had their site so screwed up when they changed it over (good while ago) I rarely go to it anymore....Well back to the cold weather here in West Virginia high winds, and snow coming this afternoon...Tuesday or Wednesday the high will be 3 above and -4 low predicted......Smile, Pray, Be Safe, and Have a Great Day

While I too am skeptical about the taxes, it is still a much cheaper base rate than I have been able to find. Thanks !!!

BGIZMOSS---I never even considered the rate offer was much cheaper than what I seen on Hotwire or Rental Companies website and looking at it that way just keep checking to see if rates drop and have a back-up plan as jokermqb has suggested....Although you can't use Hotwire like that because you are charged on credit card at time of booking.....Hertz--Dollar---Alamo--and others you can always cancel......Rates have just been crazy the past 3 or 4 months.....

Updating my post about the "booking failed": Next day I went back through the Total Rewards site and got the great rates to come up again. Before I "booked" I called customer service and talked to the same gal. She looked it up and hooked me up with Thrifty Car Rental since the Dollar rate wouldn't "cooperate". I got a confirmation #, a phone number with extension and will keep track of my credit card transaction. As per suggestions from people on this blog I will get a backup car rental. The rate is too good not to follow through with. It's all a game as with the airlines.

Well glad to see people taking advantage of this super price but you need a back-up plan...nothing worst than arriving in Las Vegas and having to go to a counter and rent a car....you are at the mercy when it comes to prices at that time....Hopefully Thrifty or whoever will honor the price quoted and not add on taxes......even if they do the price would be cheaper than I can find now.....
