need car rental code discounts Oct & Nov

We are going in late September/early October and the only good deal I have seen so far was on Hertz through AAA. If you are a motor club member, try that along with promotional coupon code 169374. That got my weekly rental for a mid-size down to $141, inclusive of taxes etc. Other than that, just keep waiting and checking. I suspect rates for that time frame will drop in another couple of months.

Just booked with Enterprise through Costco for the same time frame. That was my best rate but have never used Enterprise before and would appreciate feedback from otherrs who have used Enterprise.
No coupon code was needed but you need a memberfship number to get to the coupons.

Don't know what rates are for Oct/Nov but I found Dollar's rates the lowest among the better rental car facilities for June/July and this is without any special codes - just clicking on their city special rate box after getting the original rates and it lowers the price a little bit more.

If rates are high right now, check again closer to your dates. I found these rates a little over a month away on the July trip and only a couple of weeks for the June trip.

Eventually I would use the Costco codes discussed in the earlier thread for Alamo. Might be a bit early, but I was patient and ended up rebooking 2 times and got my rate down to $52 + tax for a weekly rate.....total was right at $100!
