New Tropicana Exit

For those of you who travel to Las Vegas from Southern California, they have moved the Tropicana Exit going North on I-15 slightly. You now exit at Exit 36 which is immediately past the Russell Road exit. It is marked, but if you are not looking for it and looking for the previous exit, you will miss it and have to exit at Flamingo. This is also the new exit for Frank Sinatra (the second Frank Sinatra exit). You can still access Frank Sinatra by taking the Russell Road Exit.

Larry (Limo Driver) from Las Vegas
Good mention Larry. I missed it the other day. Went to pick up friends staying at MGM and kept looking for the exit as I approached the Trop overpass.

The I-15 exits off the 215 are messed up too; especially the southbound sign which is completely blocked by an overpass until you're right upon it.

It's all confusing even to locals who should be immune to all the road construction and detours by now. Be safe out there....this is the worst driving city that I've ever experienced in the U.S.

Dan,

After living in the NY Metropolitan area my entire life, driving in Vegas is a piece of cake. Yes, the exits for 215 East and West off I-15 going North have been moved back to right after the exit for SouthPoint. It is now the same exit that you would use for Blue Diamond Road.

Larry
I sure wish the street construction would end.

They have terrible directional signs in LV.

BTW, I got stopped by a cop on Joe Brown my last trip and the first thing he asked me was, "Have you been drinking?"
I said, "Yes, water."
He stopped me because I was going 35 in a 25-mile zone.
After I told him a few jokes he let me go with a warning.

However, Larry's correct:

NYNY traffic drives me insane and I only rent a car when I want to get out of there. LOL

The problem isn't as much the traffic as it is the quality (or lack thereof) of drivers. It's rare that two days go by where I don't experience a "near miss". I'm sure that some of this is alcohol related and given the 24 hour nature of the City, time of day doesn't seem to matter.

Dan
I just assumed it was all the drivers from all over the country, that make Vegas driving so bad.
Mid-West vs. Cal.........totally opposite drivers!

Thats one reason why, when I rent a car........I ask for Nev. plates so the locals don't think I'm a tourist! lol
I swear, the Locals will speed up to get Around an out-of-state Plate.......because they assume you don't
know where you're going.
I guess I do the same thing. lol
If I see Ma & Pa with out-of-state plates doing the speed limit towards the Strip? I'm Around them! lol

But the freeway construction is definately Bad. ..........Especially when they Change it!
