Nice Thrifty Rates

I found some really good Thrifty rent a car rates for May, at $154, all inclusive, for a 1 week, full sized rental (less than that for smaller cars) Blue Chip is their frequent renters program and had a discount which was automatically applied to get that price. Surprisingly, in addition, extra days over 1 week were charged at a rate that was only 1/7 the weekly rate, which I have never seen before.
wjkomo.......Seen your post and got on Thrifty site last night and rented a full size for $177.00. I had forgotten that I join Blue Chip in 2007 had to update profile no problem.... I had figured to pay around $175 .00 for a full size one week but rental prices here of late have been crazy and was a little concerned...... They had something about a $20 credit and $20 on future rental and 30 free trial. I called the female that was explaining it to me was talking so fast I could not even understnad hwhat she was saying.............I do have a question if car comes out cheaper or another site like hotwire drops is there a cancellation fee or can I just cancel Thrifty at no charge...
I don't anything about this " $20 credit and $20 on future rental and 30 free trial" deal that you were presented with. I just reserved on the website. A typical reservation has no cancellation fee. However, your deal might be different. I have no idea of the terms and conditions you were presented with. When in doubt, call them back and ask.
My reservation started off a regular and I never did anything other than after i mad eit call about $20 discount that was in a box out from where i reserved the car. The girl started the sales pitch....as I said she talked so fast I just simply gave no information and said I was not interested in the deal.........Like I said she was a fast talker to the place I had to almost scream "I'M NOT INTERESTED."Finally she said ok and hung up...thanks for the tip on pricing because if there is not a $20 drop I would not consider a cancel.......

We changed to a Thrifty res on Sun for 5 days. Under $100 inc. taxes etc.

I always use Southwest.com (cuz I go for the points) but its a great place to comparison shop.

Thrifty special on there was down to $11 per day. (Its a SW partner so prefer that special over
say Fox or EZ) When I can get a daily rate that low? I take it.
Even Dollar was higher, but Ive been avoiding Dollar lately, so Thrifty it is.

What days are you going? I am going in May and still getting a high rate with them.
I've got four days next week with Thrifty for $63.57 total.
