No more SWA non-stop flights?

Well, digging a little harder it appears SWA has one non-stop every Saturday, each way to and from Vegas.   Saturdays only.   Used to be every day of the week.

That seems goofy, as you would expect the most traffic on Fridays and Sundays. But I'm sure they have it all calculated to a T.

I expect the next development to be that SWA doesn't actually land in Vegas at all, but rather, if that's your destination, you are handed a parachute (for which you have to pay a deposit, of course) and the pilot slows to 300 mph or so, so you have a reasonable chance of survival. Aim for the Bellagio fountains.

I've been tempted to fly to Vegas for a quick sanity-restoring getaway, but I just can't reconcile the risk, either from the flight itself or mingling with the hoi polloi. I would feel terrible if I caught the virus 2-3 months before a vaccine was available. I wish we all had the patience to just wait it out and put our funsies on hold for a little while longer.

On the bright side, I expect travel deals up the wazoo when things open up again. I intend/hope for summer 2021 to be for me a season of ricocheting around the country. I may even go to Canada, eh?

3-2-1....jump...pull rip cord...whee!...ah, what a view...uh, oops...thud.  Ouch!  That Bellagio fountain nozzel just did a colonoscopy on me!  (Speaking of "deals up the wazoo"...LOL).

Belaggio fountains would be a very COLD dip. By parachute, where would you choose to land? Maybe a local park.Pig farm?Maybe a golf coarse sand pit.

 Just dig the sand out.
