Out dated info

I was just looking at the resort fees page and noticed several hotels offering free shuttles.  After checking a few of the resorts websites I am not seeing anything, and had thought many had been discontinued during covid.  Are there any casinos that are still offering free shuttles to the airport or to the strip etc ?

South Point has a free airport shuttle for hotel guests, and you have to reserve it in advance. From there, you can catch the municipal Strip bus pretty easily...it runs every 10 minutes, and 24/7.

  • Airport drop-off shuttle service 7am – 2pm every day, limited seating – check for availability.
  • Upon check-in, all guests receive a complimentary glass of wine or 12oz. domestic draft with the purchase of an entrée in the restaurant.

Ha!  I just noticed they changed the complimentary drink to include purchase of an entree.

The value of the El Cortez gets worse everyday. There is not much reason to go there anymore.

I'll have to disagree, its still a better value than most Fremont and especially all Strip casinos.  Just the prime rib deal is worth it alone.

That's not good advice. Transit between South Point and the Strip is far worse and more infrequent than you suggest.

From South Point

No public bus (other than the Downtown Loop, there are no "municipal buses" in Clark County) that serves South Point goes to the airport or to the Strip proper (between Mandalay Bay and Sahara).

At best, RTC's bus 117 leaves South Point every half hour (not every 10 minutes), then every hour or more late at night.

Even then, bus 117 requires a transfer to another bus to reach the Strip. Figure 45 minutes just to get to the MGM Grand.

From Harry Reid International

Only bus CX goes to the Strip. It does so only hourly (not every 10 minutes), and not at all after 11P. And it only makes one stop near the Strip, an inconvenient quarter mile east of the Strip on Flamingo.

You didn't read my post. I said that transit from South Point to the airport AND THEN to the Strip was the play.

You didn't read my post.

I wrote that bus service from both South Point and from the airport to the Strip is nothing like what you claimed.

Not every ten minutes 24/7 as you claimed.

Other than one bus that runs hourly, merely crosses the Strip, and stops at 11P, no bus from the airport serves the Strip.

Your frightening need to talk vastly outpaces your actual knowledge. As you will soon demonstrate yet again.

Sigh. I said that the Strip bus runs every 10 minutes. But yeah, yeah, whatever you said, you're right. Feel better now?

Everyone "feels better" when the truthful facts are stated, except for those who lie.
