Payless Car Rental

I have a reservation with Payless for the first time. Just wondering if this is a good or bad company??

Any comments are welcome.

Never again!!! We rented from them one and only time. We brought our email conformation with the price quoted. They slid a contract over the counter and asked for our signature. Only problem, it was $75.00 higher. They did some double talk as to why there was a difference. Took about 30 minutes to get the price down to our conformation. Then 45 minutes to get a car. At this point we would have gladly paid a higher price with Alamo or Dollar.

don't do it. you can find plenty of bad reviews on rental car companies, but Payless has the worst reputation. do you want to spend your vacation time at the counter arguing for the rate that you have confirmed? I sure don't.

I've never had a problem with Payless. I always take a copy of my reservation to make sure the contract price matches it. I tell them upfront that I want to decline insurance and any other "extras." That being said, I'd rather not waste any of my Vegas time at the counter, so I'll go with Dollar Express unless there is a significant savings by using Payless. Safe travels and good luck!

No experience with the one in Vegas. I used the one in Ft Myers, FL last Spring. Lots of negative reviews were to be found but my experience was pleasant. I prepaid ahead of time and did not get any hard sells. Everything went smoothly as with any other car I've ever rented from Budget/Alamo.....only at about half the price.

I dont question other peoples bad experiences - but mine was perfectly fine. Maybe prepaying is the key.
