pedestrian bridge?

Google maps is great for pedestrian trip routing.   Here is a link for your itinerary, about 1.4 miles and 33 minutes:

That walk will be brutal in the Vegas heat. And doing it after sundown won't help much. Given the heavy foot traffic, especially in escalators, bridges, narrow walkways, etc., it'll take much longer than a stroll in the park if equivalent length.

And then you reach your destination, and you need something to drink, and the gift shop at the Golden Commode wants $8 for a bottle of water.

I'm sure the OP will appreciate your comments as being very helpful, as "always".

They mentioned "later this month".   The average high for later this month is in about 81 degrees.  I would bet that even a unhealthy older man in bad shape, such as yourself, could do it.   You could even justify it by comparing it to the "rip off rates charges by rideshares that no one with a brain would think of using" or some equivalent Kevin type quote.

Pretty sure anyone willing to walk that stretch knows what they are going to encounter and will be prepared.

The temperatures in Vegas have so far this year greatly exceeded the historical average; several records have already been broken. But climate change is a liberal hoax, so, not to worry.

You need not mix personal insults into your opinions. But maybe you're incapable of such restraint.

I'm not the only person to warn others that walking on the Strip can be more difficult than it seems. Distances are longer than one might expect, there are crowded choke points, and yes, the heat can get to you.

Your political opposition to me shouldn't leak onto these forums. Scream at and insult me for being a crazy left-wing liberal radical radical liberal all you want, but please confine it to the Sink, where it belongs and you can happily vent.

Given what I've heard from first-time visitors in particular, a lot of people aren't prepared at all. Walking a mile through narrow passageways, fighting crowds and the desert heat, can be much more challenging than strolling a mile at the city park back home.

But hey, that's just my opinion. Forgive me, all, for expressing it.

Anyone reading a Kevin post already knows he never has anything positive to say about Vegas or anything.  So if Kevin's  post is the worse that can possibly happen, then with a little luck everything will be okay

If you get that (false and idiotic) impression, it might be because I knew Vegas back when it was a truly fabulous place to visit. It's a shell of its former self.

And my warnings about walking on the Strip are based on what friends have told me over the years. Forgive me, O pukka sahib, for being so negative about something negative.

But really, Brenty Boy, why would you say something like that? Hemorrhoids acting up?

Amen, well said.

I believe Tropicana has a sidewalk the entire way from LV Blvd to the Orleans.    Road construction might block that but under normal circumstances its there.
