Problem checking in at Alamo

I am trying to do my final online check in at Alamo for my trip next Saturday. I keep getting "We're sorry. This coupon isn't available at this time." Every time I try to pull up my reservation.

Used the entertainment book coupon and Costco code to reserve it.

Anyone else had this problem ?

Not sure if reservation is still valid.

I was having the same problem with my upcoming reservation. I finally emailed Alamo and confirmed that my reservation would still be honored. They did confirm it and I made sure I printed the email so I have it when I arrive.

Thanks, good idea. I am thinking of just switching to a Thrifty reservation I have, slighly smaller car and is a few dollars more. Tired of Alamo's web site issues. May be time to switch.

Had the same problem so I called too. The guy confirmed my rates but said since the new website began they've had problems with the online check-in - it says the coupon is unavailable and won't let you go any further. They sent me a new coupon just yesterday, but when I tried it it said that coupon was unavailable too. We're printing up our confirmation, but other than maybe having to wait in line I don't anticipate any problems.

It's true the online checkin doesn't work (along with a whole lot of other web site things that don't work), but the airport kioske does. It may take a little longer, but it works. Our price was actually about $6 less than expected.

As a point of reference, whenever I make a car reservation with any rental company I immediately print out a copy- just in case the car rental company decides to make my reservation "unavailable" for any reason.

Just got back yesterday and despite not being able to check-in early online, all our prices and coupons were honored (still didn't have to produce any coupon at the counter). We rented an economy and $10 to the lot attendant got us a full sized Impala. Hope you all have the same luck!

Yes, online check-in works fine now, I think.

You still have to go to the kioske to check in there, but it makes it shorter if you did online checkin.

Watch your prices carefully. Print up your original confirmation and your e-mail confirmation at the time you make the reservation.

Sometimes the price jumps higher when you do online checkin or Kioske checkin. Then you have to go to the counter, ask for a manager, and they will fix it back to your confirmed price.

Actually last year when I rent they said if I printed my paperwork I didn't even have to go to kiosk I could take a car and go straight to the exit cashier. I did check in on line the night before printed it and no problems with the cashier.

I haven't used Alamo since then as there rates have been to high .
