Problems with Alamo not posting SWA RR Credits

Lately my Alamo rentals aren't getting posted to my Southwest Rapid Rewards account. My reservations show my SWA RR # and the $4.50 frequent flyer surcharge, but when I return the car the $4.50 charge is not on the bill.
Contacted Alamo and they say everything is fine and that it can take up to 8 weeks, check back then.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem?
I had this problem with Avis & Dollar last year.

Went to my SW acct. and printed out the past years RR credits, Flights & Rental cars.

There were a few credits missing. I either Called or emailed both companies to make them
aware of the Dates of my Rentals, and asked that the RR credits be credited asap.

Both companies Posted the RR credits right away.

It doesn't have to take 8 weeks, ifyou call them, or email.

My acct. is fianlly up to date..........but who knows If or when it would have been done if I didn't?

I had the problem where my bonus points weren't showing up, I called Alamo and got nowhere.
The rapid rewards folks stepped up and "made them pay"!

Just make sure you keep all of your paperwork and don't give up, it may take a while, but you'll get your credits.
Last year when we rented from Alamo, it took forever for them to post the credit. They don't post from the time you rented your car, but from when the promotion ends. Say you rented the car in Oct. but the promotion doesn't end until the end of Dec.--credit is posted 6-8 weeks from the end of Dec. I don't know if this is what always happens, but this is how it was explained to me when I call Alamo to complain about credits not showing up. Our credits were posted in that time line. With todays computers, one would thing credits could be posted faster.

I think they CAN be posted faster, and would give them a Call or send email.

Let them know this is Important to you..........otherwise you might as well rent from Somewhere else.

Getting those RR credits asap, is imperative to getting a Free ticket sooner than later.

If you are on the fence, and only needing another 1 or 2 credits til your next ticket? I'd call.




I have used only Alamo lately in Reno, Vegas, and Orlando and my credits each time were posted within one week including my bonus credits. Even though I am an "Insiders" member and my account indicates rapid rewards credits I still give my card to the person I deal with and ask that he/she be sure to post my RR credits. I do not know if that helps but as I previously stated I have been promptly credited after each use.
As a follow up to my original post, after 8 weeks I contacted Alamo again and got this response:

"Thank you for your feedback. I apologize this quadruple bonus mileage has still not posted to your Southwest Airlines Frequent Flyer account. I have now sent this issue to our Airline Inquiry team for investigation. This is our highest level of escalation. Please be assured I will update you with the result of the Airline Inquiry team investigation as soon as I receive it. "

A few days later they came back and said:

"Our Airline Inquiry team has advised that these bonus miles have now posted to your Southwest account. You should be able to view them now, or within the next few days, depending on system update time. We appreciate your business, and thank you for choosing Alamo. "

Over another week goes by, still no credits in my SWA account, so I contacted SWA about the problem. They called me up a few days later, confirmed all the info and said they would take care of it.
Contacted Alamo again to let them know I had complained to SWA, got the same canned response as before. Three days later the credits finally showed up in my account. I seriously doubt I would have ever gotten the credits without compaining to SWA.
