Reno to Oakland SW Ding fare $84 one way is there something about this short flight I don't understand?

Just saw this Ding offer and don't understand why the other offer of LV to Albuquerque is the same price and LV to Ontario/Los Angeles is $87 one way.

If the Reno/Oakland flight is popular then why is it being offered on Ding?

Just wanted to see if there is some logic to this price.

The distance between two airports is only one of many factors that influence the airfare between those two airports. Capacity, competition, demand, seasonality, taxes, fees, they too play a role.

There's a LOT of logic behind every airfare, but only some of that logic depends on distance.
how long is the flight?
The flight is about 50 minutes air time. You'll spend more time at the airport prior to the flight than the flight itself!

Doesn't Chilcoot live in Alaska? You take the Oakland to Reno flight much Chilly?

Like Fredo said (who is also a Local) You can usally drive to Reno faster than driving to Oakland.................waiting..................then take the flight.
