Rental Car in March

I will be in Las Vegas from March 10th to 15th and want to rent a car this time (never have in all my trips to Vegas).

I did a quick search and the cheapest I could find was for a 'economy car' from Avis for $29.99/day, for a total of $240 with taxes and fees.

Where is everyone getting these 4 or 5 day deals on here for $60???
First thing you have to figure in is supply and demand. You are looking at a busy time with the race in town, along with a couple of conventions, not to mention that is right before March madness and spring break.

did you try putting in any codes or coupons? Also keep checking multiple website. Rental prices have gone up a great deal in the past few years and I'm not sure why as they have almost doubled since we first rented a car 3 years ago. Good luck and keep searching.
Check with carrentals.com or join Alamo insiders.
Well I wonder if you are going to the races? That is NASCAR weekend. It is a fairly busy weekend. I have been there for that. So it could affect pricing. I will be there a little before that and so far have to be happy with $111 all in for 4 days with Dollar. And I will keep checking.

People also rent cars in Vegas then drive to Phoenix for Cactus League.
"People also rent cars in Vegas then drive to Phoenix for Cactus League."

Gee, I don't know anyone who does That........

Miller-- You might also try splitting up your Rezzie. I got 2 rentals next trip, and save about $100
doing it that way, vs. staying with One rental car co. for the whole time.
Just return one car.......then walk to the other rental car co., and get the other. Easy.

I am renting a car from March 3 through March 10. I will be arriving in Vegas late morning on the 3rd and
staying in town that Saturday night. I will be getting up very early on Sunday the 4th and driving to Phoenix
for 3 days of Cincinnati Reds spring training baseball. I will see games on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and
will head back to Vegas after the 1:00 pm game on Tuesday afternoon. I plan to be checking into the Silverton
by 9:00 pm Tuesday night. I will spend tue/wed/thur/fri night in Vegas and will then head out of town on Saturday
the 10th. Just wanted to confirm that there are folks who rent cars in Vegas and then head to Phoenix for cactus
league baseball. BTW my rental for the week is currently sitting at 197.00 through Alamo. I fully expect that price
to come down a little as new Alamo coupon codes come out that extend into March.

Yes, done it a few times.
(I've also used my car for the whole trek but flying & renting cars, easier & faster)

Much cheaper to rent cars in Vegas, drive there & back.............than to rent cars in PHX.

I've been going to the race since it started in 1979. Never payed more than $150!!!! Now the cheapest I can find right now is$233!!!! And thats with AARP and Alamo insider!! I think the $59 for 4 days price is not coming back. Last year I paid $330 for airfare from Ohio, the most I ever paid. Used to get it for around$200-220 all the time. Now I got it for $270 ,and I feel like I got a good deal. All the deals seem to be going away!
