rental cars sky high

Is anyone getting any deals on rental cars ?   Seams like they have doubled in the last few months.

You might want to try AutoSlash.  It was mentioned by one of the LVA contributors under Vegas with an Edge, I believe.

I'd second Autoslash; and add Costco membership and Priceline search options as competitive considerations in the rental car rat race. Many of the Autoslash rentals are mediated through Priceline; check rates multiple times pre-trip. And grit your teeth.

Reason to not visit Vegas #4,982.

My last two trips to Vegas I started checking rental car prices approx. 6 weeks in advance with Priceline, Kayak, Autoslash and Fox. The prices started high, then decreased somewhat, then increased the last 10-14 days prior to  the start of my trip(s). I checked almost daily. My last two rentals ended up being made with Fox , 2-3 days before my trip(s), the rates dropped considerably when pre paying. There are 4 different discount numbers that you can enter which lowers the pre pay amount - currently they are (1)- WSTAT 23, (2)- Military 1, (3)- TPA City Special, and (4)- Responder 1. Try all 4, you will find a great rate.

Rental price is high.       Strike one.

Traffic is awful right now.    Strike two.

casinos charge you to park.   Strike three.

I am going to vegas for the 4th time this year, and will have a great time.  I do currently have a rental car at a decent price, altough not exactly what i was hoping for.  If some of you don't want to be helpful or don't like vegas anymore then stop commenting.  It is bullshit and it is bad for bussiness.

So you blame the deteriorating conditions and sky-high prices in Vegas on the people complaining about the deteriorating conditions and sky-high prices?

Or should we blame the deteriorating conditions and sky-high prices on the people who tolerate those conditions and pay those prices?

Whatever we do, let's not blame the companies that are imposing those conditions and charging those prices.
