Rental Discounts?

Will be arriving in Vegas Nov. 13th for 6 days. Anyone know how I might get a good discount on a car?
I've had good luck this year with Costco...https://www.costcotravel.com/#1. You can take the codes and use them on the individual web sites if you are not a Costco member. No one that I have heard has ever been asked for the Costco card, especially if your are Quick Silver, Fastbreak, etc.
Thanks for your info. I am a Costco member.
Dollar dropped rates today I saved $20.00 from my first booking for Nov. 19

Just checked rates on Alamo, using coupon code AD2338FDF and contract ID 7015309 (Costco, which includes an extra driver), and it came back with an Economy size for $113.60 all in. You might give them a try and see if you can bag a free upgrade from the lot attendant. Good luck!

Luck to all ~~

Hotwire is always my go to choice - usually much cheaper than other travel sites. Sometimes I'll bid a dollar or two lower than the Hotwire price on Priceline, but rarely get an acceptance. Make sure you compare the fees on each site, since they can vary widely. Just go to the second page on each and compare total cost, rather than the daily rate.

It will plug in most of the known coupon codes and find you the best deal for your dates
I am hoping that one of you can help me find a reasonable deal on a car for late December. We will be arriving (hopefully) before noon on Dec. 26 and leaving again late on Dec. 30. I am noticing that rental prices are substantially higher than in the past for Las Vegas. Due to family conflicts we were unable to get out there in 2012, and have this slim window to travel this year.

Does anyone have any discount codes that work for late December? I was hoping that as we are leaving before New Year's Eve that we could find a reasonable deal. In past years I have always been able to count on this board to pass along good, useable codes.
Thomas, I would keep checking back frequently to see how prices are. Our trip for Thanksgiving week started out at $395 when we first booked 5 months ago. Then more recently, using the Costco codes above, we were able to upgrade to a Full Size car for the whole week (Saturday to Saturday) for only $126!!! That was probably 2-3 weeks ago. It pays to keep checking!!!! My husband was so happy that I got it down that low!
Thanks for the reply. We've been members here for many years and have always been able to rely on the members here for great advice. I allowed my membership to lapse about a month, so my profile does not reflect our past activity.

We have made many trips to Las Vegas over the past 30 or so years and always been able to find very reasonable car rental rates, in fact many absolute bargains. This year seems to be very different. The prices I am getting are quite astounding. I did notice that the taxes have become a major factor in the pricing. We know to keep checking back, and we do, even up to the day before traveling. I suppose it could be our dates just after Christmas and before New Year's Day when activity begins to pick up again out there.

We'll continue to keep checking. If anyone has any codes for Alamo, Dollar or Hertz please post them here.
