renting scooters

I will be going to Las Vegas in January/February, and am experiencing walking problems and am considering renting one of those scooters. Does anyone have experience renting one of these in Las Vegas?? How expensive is it? Can you move from hotel to hotel if you rent at one hotel? I would appreciate any information people have. If you have rented one in the past, I would appreciate hearing about your experience with them.
Let me check on this for you. My aunt lives there and her daughter just emailed me about this very thing, saying they like that better than pushing a wheelchair through the casino. I will let you know what I find out.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
We rent through Desert Medical (some hotels no longer offer rental other than through Desert Medical).

You can contact them @ 866-711-9171..

There is no limit on where you can take scooter. We frequently switch hotels during our stay - pick up at one hotel & drop off at different one. Just let Desert Medical know when you make the reservation.

Pick it up and return @ bell desk.

We have never had a problem - just be sure to charge it every night.

Thanks for the information,I will give them a call.
I called desert medical before leaving for vegas and booked a scooter. They delivered it to the gold coast and I picked it up at the bell desk with no problem. The only problem I had was moving from hotel to hotel. The first move from the gold coast to the green valley ranch was a nightmare as the first bus driver insisted that the scooter had to be parked with me facing the front of the bus. Getting it into position was very difficult. The second bus driver didn't care which way it faced. When we next moved hotels, I booked a taxi that accommodated the scooter from henderson cabs. Cost not that much more than the regular taxi. Apparently several taxi companies have these. Having the scooter made life so so much more pleasurable, I wasn't in constant pain from trying to walk with a walker. Hopefully the docs can figure out what is going on with my back and I can get back on my feet again. I left the scooter at the bell desk at the orleans the day we left.
I noticed that several hotels now have rental scooters at their bell desks {no idea of costs etc.] and that there is now scooter rental info on the transportation section on this site. When using the scooter in a casino you have to keep your eyes open and not go very fast, I had never realized how careless people are when walking in a casino, paying hardly any attention to where they are walking and I'm sure if there was a collision they would insist it was the scooters fault.
