RTC Changes Coming Sep 18

Las Vegas's bus system will see some significant changes in a couple months. Lots of little changes, but the big ones are two new express runs:

Boulder Highway Express (BHX). Provides faster service from downtown along the Boulder Highway. Includes dedicated bus lanes and 23 stations from downtown. Replaces the Route 107 north of Sunset Rd.

Henderson & Downtown Express (HDX). Provides an express connection between Downtown Las Vegas, Henderson, CSN Henderson, and Nevada State College, with access to major transfer routes along the way. Greatly reduces the role formerly played by bus 402.

Typical tourists won't see any fare changes.
Sometime in the past few months, RTC installed a Ticket Vending Machine at McCarran Airport.

Previously, if one wanted to take advantage of a multi-day pass upon landing, one would have to order the pass in advance. No longer, you can buy it right at the airport, probably at the RTC's stop.

Another positive change that makes it easier for tourists to use RTC.
