Sequester and Security Lines

I know it has on been a few days since Sequester started, but is it taking longer to get through airport security?

Going to Vegas Saturday and leaving Tuesday. Most curious about Leaving Las Vegas.

According to our local news last night it is taking longer to get thru airport security because people are already getting laid off.

Tonight on the news, some 170 Air Traffic Control towers are being closed "at small to medium size airports" nationwide. To make up for it, now we can carry "small pocket knives and sports equipment on board." You can take "2 golf clubs" on. Who takes 2 golf clubs on board? Wouldn't you want to take the whole set, in the bag? I'm not a golfer...so of course I don't know what I'm talking about, but I'd worry about someone carrying two golf clubs on, or one!

Things are bound to get pretty crazy for a while.

Just more "change you can believe in".

Time for the masses to rebel. If the super-rich can't cough up an extra dime or two, let it be known that the Republican party will never get another vote.

Yeah, let's keep taking from the superrich. Tax them more and more. Confiscate more and more, then means test all programs so they get screwed there too. And then, if they still want to invest and make more money, we can take that too.

I've always been a fan of taxing the successful...of course they are paying over 60% of the taxes anyway.

I have always been a fan of working for a living and paying my own way. I resent having my taxes raised and having the money given to the to lazy to work unemployed and illegal aliens. I also resent to paying my fair share of social security and then see the money given to those who have never paid a cent into social security.

To try to get back on topic, most are reporting little to no change at major airports. As always, plan ahead and get there early and you'll be fine.

The FAA and TSA will begin furloughs next month. Right now, the only impact is the elimination of scheduled overtime.
